NSCDC Urges Christians To Pray For Peace

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Jigawa State Command, has urged Christian faithful to use the Christmas period to pray for peace, unity and economic prosperity in Nigeria.

The Public Relations Officer of the command, SC Adamu Shehu made the call in an interview with Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Dutse .

He called for peace, harmony and sustainable development in the state and country in general.

SC Adamu Shehu who pointed out that Peace was necessary for development, therefore urged all to support security agencies and government in their efforts.

He advised christian faithful to use the Christmas period as an opportunity to create harmony, understanding and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

He also called on Nigerians, irrespective of religious and political inclination, to promote harmonious coexistence among the various religions in the country.

Adamu Shehu stressed the need for Nigerians to desist from activities capable of breaching peace as no government could succeed without it.

According to him, Nigerians must eschew violence and tolerate one another for development of the country.
