Over 10,000 Patients Enjoy Free Medical Outreach In Niger State

A Non-Governmental Organisation, the Graceland Healthcare Development Foundation from Kaduna state in collaboration with Sani Bello Foundation has conducted surgeries on over six thousand patients with various ailments within the last six years.

The patients were operated free charge as part of their corporate social responsibility of giving back to the community.

Chairman of the Foundation Dr Thot Joseph Dodo said this after conducting a medical outreach at Kontagora General Hospital in Niger state.

Dr Thot Joseph Dodo explained that over ten thousand patients have so far benefitted from the free medical outreach from varoius ailments aimed at prividing socour and relief to the less priveleged persons in the society due to current economic reality

He said such assistance had become necessary because according to him government alone cannot do it.

In a remark, the Chairman, Sani Bello Foundation, Rtd Colonel Sani Bello who promised to sustain the gesture however called on wealthy individuals to always assist the poor to ameliorate their hardship.

One of the patient Hauwau Usman who has undergone a surgery by Doctors from Graceland Foundation on virginal prolabs expressed satisfaction with the gesture which would go a long way in enhancing and improving her living condition.

Radio Nigeria reports that Some of the ailments treated include Fibroid, Appendicitis, Goitre lumps, Hernia, Hydrocoele, Eye-related diseases and provision of one thousand glasses free of charge to patients.
