Kwara Trains 60 PWDS On Various Empowerment Skills

Sixty selected people living with disability drawn from two local government areas in Kwara state have been trained on various empowerment skills

Speaking at the 13th edition of the empowerment training programme, done in collaboration with the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM) for Ilorin East and South federal constituency , the lawmaker representing the area, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Cook- Olododo, said he the one week training programme was organised to discourage people from begging.

Represented by Alhaji Sa’ad Tajudeen, the lawmaker said an additional 160 able-bodied youths in the constituency had also enjoyed similar empowerment training.

According to him People living with disability and other trainee’s would be presented with various equipment to enable them set up their own business.

Alhaji Olododo advised the beneficiaries not to sell the working tool giving to them.

In her remark on behalf of the resources persons Dr. Hauwa Aliyu , urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the equipment provided to them to help change their economic status for better.

One of the beneficiaries, Kazeem Alao, appreciated the lawmaker for the gesture, assuring that they would make good use of the empowerment equipment.
