Doctors Suspend Warning Strike In Kwara State

Medical doctors in Kwara state government owned hospitals have suspended their seven days warning strike embarked upon over poor condition of service and renumeration.

Chairman of the National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners, Dr Saka Agboola stated this after an emergency congress by members of the Union in Ilorin.

According to him the doctors decided to suspend the strike due to the favorable disposition of the state government to negoatiate with them.

He said the union also acknowledged the suffering patients went through during the period of the warning strike.

Dr Agboola denied insinuations that the union members were intimidated to suspend the strike.
