Kebbi State Government, has dissolved the twenty one local Government Council Chairmen of the State whose tenure ended this Thursday 4th of November, 2021.

State Governor, Senator Atiku Bagudu, in his farewell address shortly after holding a meeting with the outgoing going Council Chairmen, expressed the appreciation of the people and Government of the State for their invaluable efforts for the two years they served in their various localities.

He expressed delight with the performance of the outgoing Council Chairmen and the progress recorded in both the local and state governments.

The Governor said, the outgoing Council Chairmen have contributed immensely to the progress recorded in both the state and local Governments as a whole.

He wished well some of those whom the law allowed to recontest, and for those who the law prohibits would be part and parcel of his government and beyond.

Barrister Shehu Mashal, who spoke onbehalf of the outgoing Council Chairmen, expressed appreciation to the governor for the confidence he has on them .

He acknowledged the myriad of developments recorded in local Government areas under the present led Bagudu administration.

The State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hassan Muhammad Shalla, appreciated the performance of the outgoing Council Chairmen, saying they have put in their best for the development of the state

He announced that, the most senior officer will take charge of each local government area pending the time for the local Government election scheduled to hold February, next year.
