Senate Commends CAC Over Reform Initiatives

Senate Committee on Trade & Investment has applauded the reform initiatives being implemented by the Registrar General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC),
Alhaji Garba Abubakar.

The Chairman, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi who gave the commendation in Kano when he led the Committee in continuation of oversight visit to the CAC, noted with delight the use of technology to drive its processes. 

Senator Fadahunsi who explained that the use of technology was crucial to the success, enjoined the Registrar General to ensure continued improvement in the Commission’s processes.

He, therefore, pledged continued support and cooperation with the CAC to enable it deliver on its mandate.

Speaking earlier in a welcome address, the Registrar General, Alhaji Garba Abubakar highlighted some of the reform initiatives embarked upon by the Commission under his leadership.

He stressed that the 30 year old CAC which started its digitalization journey in 2004 with electronic workflows with no update for over ten years was now almost achieving full digitalization.

The Registrar General said the Commission was committed to ensuring it fully competes with its global peers as well deliver seamless service to customers both within and outside the country.
