Governor Ganduje Submits Supplementary Budget To KNHA

Kano state governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has submitted the 2021 supplementary budget of 33, 802, 37I, 99 to the Kano state house of assembly.

Reading the letter on the floor of the house, the speaker of the kano state house of assembly Alhaji Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari said the supplementary budget of #33,802,371,99 is to be used for accelarating developmental projects.

According to the letter, personnel cost stood at #3,22,317,661,68, while over head cost is tagged at #9,245,766,786,87 and 21,
534,264,640,45 for recurrent expenditure.

Similarly the Kano state house of assembly had earlier approved the sum of #197,936,730,540 as 2021 budget and with the inclusion of the supplementary budget the total budget of the year 2021 will be #231,739,101,639.

The letter pointed out that, the supplementary budget will be funded from the amount generated from revenue collection and other relevant sources applied by the government to fund budgets.

Another issue of public importance treated during house plenary was a motion presented by member representing Doguwa local government area, Alhaji Salisu Ibrahim Muhammad on exorbitant charges paid by students of Kano state school of health technology and supported by the lawmakers.

The lawmakers argued that, students of the institution decried over irregular payments of dues to the school without issuing receipts.

The house constituted an eight member committee to investigate and submit their report to the house within two weeks.

The house adjourned its sitting to Monday 25th October 2021
