Hisbah Board Committed to Eradicating All Forms Of Societal Vices

Kano State Government has reaffirmed it’s commitment towards eradicating all forms of societal vices and inculcating moral values among it’s citizen’s.

The commander general of the Kano state hisbah board Sheikh Dr. Harun Muhammad Sani Ibn Sina stated this during a courtesy visit to the center for Islamic civilization and interfaith dialogue Bayero University Kano.

According to the commander general ,the agency and other relevant stakeholders were working tirelessly to eradicate drug abuse, child labour and molestation, prostitution, begging,settling disputes among others.

Sheikh Dr. Ibn Sina pointed out that the Kano state hisbah board had engaged in evacuating street beggers and prostitutes as well as raiding eatries and recreational centers to arrest teenagers and adults engaged in drug pushing and abuse as well as intercepting vehicles loaded with intoxicants.

He solicited for the support of the center in training and retraining of hisbah personnel to achieve the desired objectives.

” The Kano state government has employed all Imams across the 44 local government councils as hisbah personnel to further strengthen the agency. In behalf of all hisbah personnel, commanders of the five emirate councils, all local governments commanders, myself, director general and deputy commander general wish to extend our support and commitment to the center of Islamic civilization and interfaith dialogue:

In his remarks the Director center for Islamic civilization and interfaith dialogue Bayero University Kano, Dr. Umar Sani Rijiyar Lemo described the visit as timely and reiterated the centers readiness to collaborate with Kano state hisbah board in the fight aginst societal vices and promoting Islamic teachings.

He commended the board for it’s commitment and dedication towards ensuring that Kano state is one of the best in terms of peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding due to the alternative dispute resolution adopted by Hisbah.

“I am calling on others to emulate Kano hisbah board as it is the best in the country. The hard work and dedication of the agency had immensely contributed to the development of the state in many ways”

The director charged the agency to maintain the tempo and urged philanthropists,wealthy individuals and relevant stakeholders to support the Kano state board to compete with others globally.
