Independence Day: Gov Ganduje Advocates Collective Security

Kano state governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has reiterated the state government’s commitment in using technological innovations to enhance security and safety of lives and property.

Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje stated this during a parade to commemorate Nigeria’s 61st independence day anniversary held at kofar mata Indoor stadium Kano.

According to the Governor his administration will not relent in its efforts of doing everything possible in eradicating insurgency and banditry.

He emphasized the need for security and self conscious ness among the citizenry, stressing that it is the only way that security agencies and people can come together to coordinate and stay safe.

” I am advising all to embrace the community policing developed here in Kano state, including the traditional institutions, the business community and the Ulamas”

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje emphasized the need for all Nigerian’s irrespective of religion to come together and ensure that Nigeria continue to be unified and grow from strength to strength.

He described the disagreement between the Northern and southern governors as unfortunate, saying that the governors were voted to keep Nigeria as one for progress and development.

The governor urged the federal government and security agencies to maintain the tempo in its fight against insecurity and insurgency in Nigeria.

“There is no doubt if they continue with this tempo very soon the problem will be curtailed. Here in Kano state I would like to thank the security agencies and paramilitary who are well coordinated in maintaining peace and stability.

Ganduje commended the federal government for the Ajakuta Kaduna to Kano pipeline project, Kano, Kaduna to Abuja road rehabilitation and Lagos to Kano railway project among others.
