Chief Of Naval Staff Urges Graduating Cadets To Be Humble

The graduating cadets of the Nigerian Defense Academy Kaduna have being urged to always be humble and be ready to learn from their superior, subordinates and soldiers alike it they do so the sky is definitely their limit, especial now that the current curriculum of the academy have been strengthen to meet the current security challenges the country is facing, the call was made by he chief of naval staff (CNS0) Rear Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo at the Nigerian Defense Academy regimental dinner night 2021, the occasion was used to honored cadet who have excel in various segments of the training.

The Chief of Naval Staff further said ‘I feel highly honored to be in your mist this evening as the special guest of honour at this Regimental Dinner Night in honour of the passing out cadets of the 68 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defense Academy I recall vividly that some years back I once seated here like you so that coming down as a special guest of honour no doubt give me a great and lot of nostalgic feelings.

‘You will all agree with me that Nigerian Defence Academy is Indeed a Unique Institution, may I start by expressing my sincere gratitude to the commandant Major General IM Yusuf member of the Half Company during our time for finding me worthy to serve as the special guest of honour at this dinner night Ebony band Ivory shall continue to live together for those that understands the language’.

‘Let also commend the impressive effort of the academy for creating and ideal regimental settings while adhering to COVID-19 preventive measures at this dinner this protocols has allowed invited guests, officers and the passing out cadets to feel free and safe this evening I wish to seize this opportunity to heartily congratulate the commandant the principal staff officers and the entire staff of the Nigerian Defense Academy for there relentless efforts by turning out yet another qualified and skill cadets who will soon be deployed to the services and make their input of see to our great nation.’

He also emphasized that, “Keeping in line with the military tradition this occasion offers the passing out cadets among other things a valuable opportunity to partake in this Regimental Dinner which promotes comradeship among senior and junior officers in a conducive social environment.”

The Chief of Naval Staff further clarifies that fundamentally the dinner night afford military officers both seniors and juniors the opportunity to interact share views and remind themselves of the tradition in the military it also present and appropriate occasion for the potential officers to learn the virtues of military etiquette and regimental procedures required of a gentleman military officers.

He therefore explains that “Personally the dinner night gives me a great opportunity to offer some useful advice to the graduating cadet who will soon be commissioned into the Nigerian Armed Forces.

To you the graduating cadet I congratulate you for surmounting all the obstacles successfully come thus far as you await your commission which will all usher you into the noble carrier you have chosen I urge you to bear in mind that you have been trained and equipped with the capacity to professionally discharge your enshrined constitutionally”.

The curriculum of the cadets have been strengthened to meet the current security challenges facing the country, they should remain humble and be ready to learn wherever they find avail.

In his speech, the academy senior under officer of the passing out Cadet CS Nnamdi, thanked all that contributed to the successful completion of their course. Those honored for their exceptional performance during he event include, Bronze medal- Nigerian Army: NDA11088 AO Adeleke, Navy-NDA11090 CDT A Tanko, Air Force-NDA11364 CDT S Oderinwale, the Indian Shield Award goes as follows, Army- NDA1103030 CDT AA Abdulraham; Navy- NDA 11257 CDT AC Ayegba; Airforce NDA11034 CDT SS Mohammed
