Kano state government has reaffirmed its commitment to providing adequate security and protection of lives and property.
Chairman of Dawakin Tofa local government area, Alhaji Ado Tambai Kwa stated this while handing over two cars and twelve motorcycles to the Nigerian Police Force Dawakin Tofa Division to enhance security in the area.
According the him the Kano state government under the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has recorded tremendous success by setting up a task force on security and provision of adequate structures and facilities in line with global standards.
The chairman pointed out in addition to the vehicles,his administration had also trained over one hundred security personnel to improve security,as well as provision of uniforms and learning materials to thousands of students to boost education among others.
Alhaji Ado Tambai Kwa commended security personnel in Dawakin Tofa for their tireless efforts and reiterated government’s readiness in providing the necessary support to boost their morale.
Responding to the gesture, the Divisional Police Officer of Dawakin Tofa Malam Ahmed described the provision of the vehicles as timely due to the challenges being faced by men of the Nigerian Police force due to inadequate operational vehicles.
He expressed the force readiness to use the vehicles judiciously to achieve the desired objectives.
Earlier in his remarks, the District head of Dawakin Tofa Alhaji Sama’ila Umar Ganduje commended the chairman for the kind donations.
He urged the general public to complement government’s efforts by abiding tolaid down rules and regulations as well as ensuring that their children were sent to school for the betterment of the nation.
Others who benefitted from the gesture of the local government chairman include mosques and Nigerian Union of Teachers Dawakin Tofa Branch.
