Jigawa Establishes Over 300 Islamic Education Centres

Jigawa state government says it has established more than 300 Islamic Education centers across the state to educate, enlighten the public on Islamic norms and values.

Governor Badaru Abubakar made this known at the closing ceremony of the 4th edition of state Islamic Education competition held at state polytechnic Dutse.

He said the program was introduced to educate Nomadic people on the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.

He called on people to continue praying for Allah’s intervention on security challenges facing the country.

Badaru also commended the commitment of the organizers of the competition and pledge to give all the necessary support and cooperation to accomplish their mission.

Earlier, the state commissioner for Education Dr Lawan Yunusa Danzomo commended Governor Badaru Abubakar for initiating the Islamic competition in the state.

Radio Nigeria reports that others who spoke at the occasion include the Emir of Dutse Alhaji Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi, Professor Muhammad Sani Umar Rijiyar Lemo among others.

Prizes were given to those who emerged winners of the competitions that include motorcycles, refrigerators and television sets among others.
