NIMASA Donates Palliatives, Relief Items To IDPs In Kaduna

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency NIMASA has presented food items and Income Generation Palliatives to Kaduna State government for distribution to Internally Displaced Person in the state.

Director General of the Agency Alhaji Bashir Jamoh led the Agency’s Board members and delivered the items to Governor Nasiru El-rufai at Government House kaduna.

Alhaji Bashir explained that, the agency had presented such items in twenty six states of the federation while kaduna became the twenty seventh to receive the items.

He said the, donations cames in three categories, nothing that, the first category has to do with income generation Palliatives for self reliance.

According to him, 240 person that completed their stay at the Internally Displace Persons Camp would benefit under the self reliance palliative for direct and indirect employment.

“Items donated under the category are 15 sewing machine , 15 grinding machine , 15 work master welding machine, 50 hair clipper bags and complete Barbing Accessories, 40 Vulanizing machine, 25 Generator “

Other were 6 tricyle (Keke Napep) , 8 motor cycle 30 standing hair drier machine , make up box , set”

He pointed out that, over one thousand five hundred IDPs are to benefit from the second category which include food items and other household related products.

The Director General further revealed that, the third category would benefit with educational materials that include twenty five desktop computers, thirty white board, three printer, and text books for senior classes 1- 3.

Alhaji Bashir Jamoh assured the Governor of continuous support , stressing that, kaduna state university has been selected, as where the agency would build infrastructure.

“The infrastructure will come in a solid building where the governor will flag off the faculty building “

Alhaji Bashir Jamoh maintained that, the gesture was part of their corporate social responsibility as a responsible agency.

Responding Governor Nasiru El-rufai appreciated the Agency for the gesture, saying that, Alhaji Jamoh had shown real commitment as good ambassador of the state and the federal government.

The governor also expressed happiness for the intervention to support the state IDPs as well as investment in the state Tertiary institution.
