President of the Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA), Mrs Vickie Anwuli Irabor has led other members of the Association on a solidarity visit to the Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy over the recent attack on the Academy.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen by the Academy’s spokesperson Major Bashir Muhammed Jajira in Kaduna.

During the visit, Mrs Irabor condoled families of the deceased officers and prayed for the safe return of the abducted officer.

Mrs Vickie Irabor highlighted the desire of the Association to establish a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Centre which would be involved in the healthcare of personnel returning home from operation areas, and therefore solicited the support of the Commandant in ensuring that the goal is achieved.

Responding, the Commandant, Major General Ibrahim Manu Yusuf commended DEPOWA for the visit and their relentless support to their spouses despite security challenges in the country.

The Commandant assured DEPOWA members that no stone would be left unturned in ensuring that the perpetrators of the dastardly act were held accountable.
