The new Zamfara State Head of Service, Mr Kabir Muhammad Gayari has called for selfless service among civil servants.
Mr. Gayara who made the plea while assuming duty pledged to justify the trust reposed on him by the State Governor, Bello Muhammad Matawalle
The Head of Service called on the Civil Servants to intensify efforts for better service delivery.
Until his recent appointment as the Head of Service, Kabir Gayari, who was the longest serving Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, was also the Permanent Secretary State Ministry of Finance.
It could be recalled that, the State Governor had recently appointed the former Head of Service Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe (Sardaunan Dan Isah) as the Secretary to the State Government.
In his maiden speech, Gayari who applauded the State civil servants for their commitment and dedication to duty further pledged to do more to promote the condition of service which by extension would promote the livelihood of public labour force and the entire people of the State.
He therefore called on all and sundry to give him maximum support and cooperation as accorded to his predecessors for him to excel.
In his address, while handing over the office affairs to the new Head of Service, the Permanent Secretary office of the Head of Service, Alhaji Yusuf Abdullahi Bakura pledged to work closely with all the stakeholders for a better service delivery.
The new Head of Service was accompanied to the office by only four people, to include; Permanent Secretary, Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) Alhaji Garba Muhammad Gusau; a Medical Consultant, Dr. Aminu (Walin Gummi); Coordinator SOCU Alhaji Hamza Salihu (Talban Badarawa) and Chairman Gayari Development Association, Alhaji Bala Aliyu Gayari.
Abdulrazak Kaura
