Federal University Dutse Accesses N165M TETFUND – VC

The Federal University Dutse says it has accessed over 165 million naira TETFUND zonal intervention for the procurement of equipment in the University.

The Vice Chancellor Professor Abdulkareem Sabo Mohammed disclosed this at the second media interactive session held at senate building in Dutse.

He explained that the equipments was for the college of Medicine and health sciences, department of physics,faculty of computing, department of biochemistry and sport directorate among others.

Professor Abdulkareem Sabo further explained that, the University have in the last few months developed a new student processing module, pointing out that, students can now access their result using mobile phones once it is approved by the Senate.

He added that, the result module is being fine tuned in such a way that parents will soon be allowed to have access to their children result from the comfort of their homes.

The Vice Chancellor noted that the University have awarded contract for the construction of 100 bed space female hostel.

According to him, the University is now fully secured by a perimeter wall through an intervention project by the federal ministry of works.

He said the wall is now 95 percent completed and will ensure control access into the campus.

He said the University have admitted 3,657 students for the 2021/2022 academic session.

Professor Abdulkareem Sabo Mohammed pointed out that the University will establish the faculty of Law next year.

According to him, they have presented and defended the budgetary proposal for the new faculty with the relevant authorities.

Sabo said plans are also underway for the establishment of faculty of pharmaceutical sciences, adding that this will complement thier medical program.
