15 Additional Abducted Students Of Bethel College Regain Freedom

Fifteen additional students abducted from Bethel Baptist College in Kaduna State have regained their freedom.

Confirming the release to radio Nigeria in a phone interview, Spokesperson of Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Mohammed Jalige said the students were released in the early hours of Sunday at a village in Chikun local government area of the state.

He said that the Police and other security agencies are working tirelessly to ensure the release of the remaining students in captivity.

Also confirming the incident, Kaduna State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Yohanna Buru said the released students will be handed over to their parents any moment from now.

One hundred and twenty-one students of Bethel Academy were abducted on the fifth of July this year out of which forty-one regained freedom.

With the release of the fifteen students, sixty-five are still under captivity.
