KNSG Reaffirms Commitment To Upgrade Health Care Facilities

The Provost (m) with principal officers of Kano State School of Health Science and Technology

Kano State Government has reaffirmed it’s commitment towards upgrading and uplifting the standard of health education as well as provision of basic healthcare facilities.

The Provost of the Kano State College of Health Science and Technology, Malam Bara’u Muhammad Kofar Nasarrawa stated this during a visit to Kano State School of Hygiene.

According to him, they were at the school to familiarize themselves with the three institutions following the appointments to oversee the affairs of Kano State School of Health Science and Technology.

He pointed out that the board would supervise three schools, the school of hygiene Kano, school of health technology Kano and school of health technology Bebeji.

Malam Bara’u promised to work hand in hand with the management and staff of the three institutions to achieve the desired objectives.

” The purpose of our visit is to meet with the management and staff of the three institutions to know their yearnings and aspirations and solicit for their cooperation and maximum support”.

In his remarks, the principal of Kano State School of Hygiene, Dr. Bashir Bala Getso said, the institution had been advocating for the creation of a bill for the establishment of the college for 21 years.

He described the appointment as timely which would pave way for the institutions to compete with others globally.

“We are ready to give them all the needed support, we are ready to give them all the inputs we have put in place as the school had recorded tremendous development since it’s establishment”

The principal explained that preparations were in top gear to commence degree programs through affiliations with universities within and outside the State.

Radio Nigeria recalled that few weeks ago, Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje appointed Malam Bara’u Muhammad Kofar Nasarrawa as the Provost of the Kano State School of Health Science and Technology, to oversee the affairs of three health science and technology institutions, among which is the school of hygiene Kano which was established in 1932.
