Corporate Affairs Commission, (CAC) has reiterated commitment to sustain its digitization effort to enhance services to Customers as well generate more revenue for the Government.
The Registrar General/CEO Alhaji Garba Abubakar stated this in Kaduna while declaring open the CAC’s 2021 Management Retreat with the theme “ Digital Economy: The Role of Corporate Affairs Commission”
Alhaji Garba Abubakar stressed that the Commision was vigorously reforming its operations in accordance with global best practices and that work on the deployment of Limited Partnership LP and Limited Liability Partnership LLP had reached advance stage.
While speaking on improved revenue, the CAC Scribe noted that the Commission, last year paid over 3 Billion Naira operating surplus to the Federation account as well as settled over 5 Billion Naira inherited Liabilities amongst others.
He lamented that the Commision had prior to his assumption of office been spending over 101% of its revenue solely on Staff cost.
Alhaji Garba Abubakar who restated his commitment to continue to prioritize the training and retraining of Staff revealed that the Commision would soon organize the 2020 promotion exams and also commence training of over 400 staff of the CAC.
On the third web of the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic, he charged the unvaccinated CAC Staff to voluntarily submit themselves for vaccination to help fight the disease.
The Registrar General use the forum to further state his commitment to continue work tirelessly for the Commision without succumbing to distraction or intimidation.
Also speaking, the Assistant Director Registry Department mr Tolulope Adeola Sonaike during the Day one of the event presented a paper titled “ An Overview of the Revised Operations Checklist” .
Similarly, the Director Human Resources, mr Olayemi Oyeniyi who was one of the speakers at the event, unveiled the Commision’s intent to migrate from the use of Annual Performance Evaluation Review (APER) to Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
Mr oyeniyi stressed that the APER system was subjective and obsolete adding that the KPI form was structured into parts A, B & C consisting of assessment for the year under review and the upcoming year amongst others.
A communique is expected at the end of the Day two of the CAC 2021 Management Retreat.
