Customs Intercept Sixty Thousand Litres Of Petrol In Kebbi

The Nigerian Customs Service, Kebbi Area Command has intercepted a truck load of sixty thousand litres containing premium motor spirit otherwise known as petrol along Tsamiya Illo road in Bagudo Local Government.

Comptroller of the Command Hafiz Kallah disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Birnin kebbi.

According to Comptroller Hafiz Kallah, the Presidency had created an NNPC led Operation White with respondsibility to curtail illegal diversion of petroleum products.

He added that the driver of the truck with registration number KUR 125 XA could not provide the needed documentation which led to the detention of the truck and its product.

Mr Hafiz Kallah warned smugglers to stay off Ke State and appealed to the public to support the command in creating an environment devoid of irregularities.

In a remark, Team Representative of NNPC Operation White, Yahuza Haruna thanked the command for its support, saying the inter agency collaboration has yielded results especially in intelligence gathering.
