FG Committed To Enhancing Nomadic Education – NCNE

Federal Government has reaffirmed its determination in propelling nomadic education to the greatest height.

Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Nomadic Education Professor Bashir Garba Usman gave the assurance at the opening ceremony of a capacity building training for Staff of the Agency held in Kano.

He said the training was aimed at increasing concern in the education sector targeted at advancing effective service delivery for Nomadic Education Programme in the country.

Professor Bashir Garba Usman maintained that the capacity building training would go a long way in providing srategic leadership skills to the staff of the agency with the aim of achieving the stated goals.

In a remark, the Director of Administration of the agency, Mr Ndagiman Baba said the main goal of the Commission was to make quality basic education relevant to Nomads, Migrant Fisher Folk and Farmers in Nigeria, hence all necessary mechanism were put in place at ensuring that its mandate was fully realised.

” These Goals can Hardly be Achieved without training of Staff in Relevant knowledge,Skills and practices such as Human Resource Management, information and Communication Technology, Acceptable work Ethics in Civil Service Among Others”

Earlier, the Board Chairman of the Commission Professor Gidado Tahir said the main idea behind the design of un-interrupted nine years Schooling system of the basic education was to ensure total eradication of illiteracy in the country.

Abbas Ibrahim and Saidu Yusif Ja’e who are amongst the participants promised to make adequate utilization of the experience they will acquire during the training.
