Jigawa state government has commended traditional leaders for the support and cooperation given to the state government at all times.
The State Deputy Governor Mallam Umar Namadi made the remarks while receiving the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Muhammad who paid him a sallah homage at government house.
He said traditional leaders are cooperating with the state government which resulted in the rapid development of the state.
Mallam Umar Namadi said the state government will continue to work together for the development of the state.
Responding, the Emir of Dutse Dr Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi said the government was carrying along all the five Emirs in implementing its policies and programs.
He said traditional leaders will continue to support government so as to enable them perform their responsibilities.
The Emir called on Ulamas to continue praying for peace and unity to reign in the state and the country at large.
