Enhancing Security In Kano Remains Our Priority – Ganduje

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration in ensuring security of lives and property of the public.

The Governor stated while declaring open a two day workshop organised by Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria in collaboration with Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, held in Kano.

The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Special Duties Alhaji Mukhtar Ishaq Yakasai said Kano state was among the leading peaceful state in Nigeria.

He said the reason behind achieving peaceful coexistence in the state was the snergy that existed between the security agencies and the structure put in place in ensuring good Community Policing.

“We have provided 24 new brand Toyota Hilux to the Nigerian police Kano command, 4 Hilux to NSCDC and two Brand Hilux to the federal Road Safety Corps”

” An ICT center was also installed in the Nigerian Police Kano Command where all movements from entries of Kano and the metropolis were being Monitored”

The Governor urged the participants to make adequate utilization of the training aimed at enhancing peace and security in the state.

In a remark, the Commandant of NSCDC Kano Command Abu Abdu Tambuwal represented by the Deputy Commandant Hassan Imam Momo described the workshop as timely.

Earlier, the State Chairman of the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria Alhaji Kabiru Nasiru Isa said the objectives of the workshop was to strengthen internal Seurity through private security operation in Kano.

The workshop themed Strengthening Internal Security Through Private Security Operators in Kano was attended by security agencies and other stakeholders.
