Jigawa Governor Swears in Newly Elected LGAs Chairmen

The Newly elected Chairmen in jigawa state have been charged to uphold probity and accountability in managing the resources of their respective councils for the betterment of  the electorates.

Governor Badaru Abubakar gave the charge during the swearing in ceremony of the newly elected chairmen at government House Dutse.

He warned the newly elected Chairmen on the need to be steadfast, dedicated, and committed to championing laudable initiatives that could enhance the progress and development of their respective councils.

The Governor urged them to be hard-working, and disregard misplacement of priority, instead accord attention to viable projects that would accommodate the yearnings and aspirations, of their electorates to foster unity, progress, and development.

Alhaji Badaru Abubakar congratulated the Chairmen and called on them to be God-fearing and be transparent while occupying public seats.

In a remark, on behalf of the Chairmen, Mallam Bala Usman Chamo thanked governor Badaru Abubakar and the entire people of the State for given them the opportunity to serve.

He assured readiness to bring development in line with the policies of the present administration.

Radio Nigeria reports that the emergence of the 27 elected Chairmen came as a result of the local government council polls which the state independent electoral commission conducted on the 26th of June,2021.

Certificate of returns has since been awarded to the elected Chairmen by the Acting Chairman of the state Independent electoral commission, JISIEC.
