Police Arrests Criminal Syndicate For Stealing N23M In Maiduguri

Borno State command has paraded five suspects for stealing twenty three million naira from a vehicle parked inside Musa Usman Secretariat in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital. 

Briefing newsmen at the Command headquarters, The Commissioner of Police Bello Makwashi who spoke through the Public Relations Officer Superintendent Edet Okon said the syndicate specialise in trailing unsuspecting members of the public who withdraw money from banks

The Commissioner of Police explained that the suspects were trailed and arrested at different cities which include Maiduguri, Jos, Kano and Jalingo, Taraba state.

According to CP Makwashi, another two million five hundred thousand naira from a vehicle belonging to one Aliyu Ali at a mosque in Maiduguri. 

He announced that the Command had recovered 14.5 million naira from the suspects in addition to five assorted motor vehicles, six fabricated duplicate car keys and corrosive substances used in breaking vehicle classes.

The Command also recovered one thousand and five kilograms of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa with an estimated worth of 3.5 million naira from two suspected drug dealers at Jajeri ward of the metropolis. 

The Commissioner of Police Bello Makwashi also paraded one Akachukwu Emmanuel for robbing a POS operator the sum of 2.5 million naira at circular road, Maiduguri.
