The Executive Secretary of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board Alhaji Sani Alhassan Muhammad stated this in an interview with newsmen in Dutse.

He explained that Governor Badaru Abubakar gave the approval for the refund of the deposit to intending pilgrims.

According to him, those that deposited for the 2020 and 2021 hajj fare wishing to be refunded must contact pilgrims zonal offices or the board headquarters in Dutse.

Alhaji Muhammad Sani Alhassan however said those wishing to keep the deposit with the board till next year were also free to do so.

He noted that the board members and staff of the agency would take the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine next week.

The Executive secretary therefore called on prospective pilgrims that have taken the first dose of the vaccine to go for the second jab due to its importance.

He commended the state government and staff of the board for the support and cooperation given to the board during hajj operations.
