The Kebbi State Universal Basic Education Board has awarded contract worth four point five billion naira for the construction and renovation of classrooms in primary schools across the state.

Chairman of the board, Professor Suleiman Khalid stated this while speaking with newsmen in his office in Birnin Kebbi.

He disclosed that contractors have already been mobilised to the site to commence work.

“You can see in addition to that billions spent on not only to improve learning environment, but also to train and retrain teachers, because no educational system can rise up without good teachers, so that is why the state is actually committed to training and retraining of our teachers and equip them with state of the art teaching skills”.
