Traditional Institutions Key To Preventing Crisis – Lai Mohammed

Federal government has commended Governor Badaru Abubakar of jigawa for supporting traditional institutions to resolve internal conflicts in the state.

The Minister for information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed stated during a courtesy visit to the Governor as part of a one day official visit to inspect the 50 meters tallest national flag hoisted within the multi billion Naira Mallam Alu Agro-allied farm company project at Birnin kudu local government area.

According to him, the resolve to allow traditional institutions to address conflicts has further helped in mitigating the escalation of unnecessary crises that earned the state as one of the most peaceful in the country.

Alhaji Lai Mohammed explained that Alh Badaru Abubakar supported traditional institutions in resolving internal crises, pointing out that the trends prevented the usual expensive litigations in courts or police stations.

Earlier, Governor Badaru Abubakar said jigawa state government had received paris club refund of 37 billion naira from the Federal government.

He noted that the Buhari led administration also refund the sum of 10 billion naira to the state for the construction of Dutse international airport.

Badaru Abubakar also said the agricultural transformation agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari had helped in alleviating poverty among the people across the state.

According to him, the CBN anchor borrower project that provides soft loan for peasant farmers has greatly affected the lives of people.

He pointed out that, about 164,000 families were taken out of poverty through the federal government social investment programs.

Radio Nigeria reports that the Minister also visited the Emir of Duste Alhaji Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi at his palace.

Some of the entourage of the minister include the Director General of FRCN, Dr Mansur Liman, DG NTA Yakubu Ibn Mohammed, as well as Director General of NOA, Dr Garba Abari and DG NCMM Professor Abba Tijjani. 

Others also are Special Advisers to President Mr Segun Adeyemi and Mr Williams Adeleye.
