Police has confirmed the death of one suspected armed robber during a shootout between security Joint operation and a gang on Thursday along Zaria-Kano Expressway.
Reacting on the development, the Divisional Police Officer, Makarfi local area division in kaduna state CSP Jamilu Abdullahi said the incidence occured when one of the suspects reported to the military Base at Tashar Yari Makarfi where a Warrant Officer Patrick Egbodaghe led a team to the scene and eventually shot dead one while the rest fled.
According to him, Pump Action Gun and some money are being recovered from the suspects,
CSP Jamilu Abdullahi charged the community to be security-conscious and support in combating crimes through sharing vital information to help address the menace.
The DPO hinted that recently there was a report of kidnapping where armed men attacked people in Anguwar Bature, Gwanki Ward in makarfi LGA in which 6 people were abducted and nothing was heard about the victims.
