Airforce Charges Personnel Not To Compromise National Security

Nigerian Airforce has charged its personnel not to allow themselves to be used by subversive elements to compromise national security.

Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Isiaka Oladayo Amao stated this at the Passing Out Parade Ceremony of Basic Military Training Course forty-one recruits held in Kaduna.

Air Marshal Isiaka Oladayo Amao who was the reviewing Officer at the event, noted that the personnel graduated at a time when the need to preserve the integrity of the country is at an all time high, equally charged them to be innovative and take advantage of opportunities that would be provided for them through specialized training and re-training to become proficient in their chosen specialties.

The Air Chief who reminded them that they are joining the military at an auspicious time when the Armed forces was involved in several operations to curtail insecurity across the country, also urged them to operate within the rules of engagement as outlined in the code of conduct for Armed forces personnel involved in security operations.

He charged the personnel to submit themselves to civil authority in line with democratic tenets, be vigilant, guard their utterances and resist the temptations to brutalize or engage in physical squabbles with civilians.

The Chief of Air Staff assured that the force, in synergy with sister security agencies would continue to work to ensure security challenges in the country was speedily brought to an end.

Air Marshal Amao also disclosed that the force was expecting eight fighter aircraft in July to boost airpower employment capabilities in support of joint operations and would be a game changer in various theatre of operations.

A total of One Thousand One Hundred recruits graduated after undergoing a six month training.
