Kano State To Boost Sports Activities

The Speaker of Kano state House of Assembly, Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari has reiterated the state government’s commitment in boosting Sports and extra curriculum activities.

Engineer Chidari made the disclosure while recieving Ahmed Musa and management of Kano pillars football team who paid a courtesy visit to State House of Assembly.

The Speaker explained that the House had passed a bill seeking for the renovation and construction of stadium in the four new Emirate council’s to ensure that Kano state competes with others globally in terms of Sports.

Chidari who was represented by the Deputy Speaker, Alhaji Hamza Zubairu Massu, commended the entourage for paying them a visit, and urged Ahmed Musa to take Kano pillars to the promise land.

Earlier in his remark, the chairman House Committee on Sports, Alhaji Nura Rano assured Kano Pillars of the Assembly ‘s’ cooperation in ensuring that Kano state emerged winners of forthcoming competitions.

He maintained that, Kano pillars had cliched a niche for decades as such there was the urgent need for government and relevant stakeholders to work tirelessly in ensuring success.

Also speaking during the courtesy visit, the captain of Nigeria’s super Eagles, Ahmed Musa called on Kano residents to pray and support Kano pillars as preparations were in top gear to ensure that the club emerge victorious during the upcoming football competitions.

He promised to use his wealth of experience as an international footballer in collaboration with other players to upgrade and reshape Kano pillars football team.
