Nasarawa Governor Inaugurates Flood Equipment

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has inaugurated Flood Early Warning system equipment in Umaisha, Toto Local Govrrnment Area of the state.

Governor Sule while inaugurating the project in Umaisha urged the people of the community to protect the project in their interest and for the overall development of the state.

He said, the project was to alert the members of the community if there is going to be flood in the area.

The Governor said the commissioning of the project was part of activities to mark his two years in office.

Governor Abdullahi Sule had earlier paid a traditional homage to the Ohimege Opanda, Alhaji Abdullahi Usman to receive the royal’s father blessings and prayers.

The Governor also commended the speaker of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi for his leadership qualities as well as appreciated Ohimege for promoting peace in his domain.

Also speaking, the Ohimege Opanda Alhaji Abdullahi Usman commended the governor for his efforts in ensuring peace and security in the area.

He appealed to the governor to deploy more troops to the area in order to tackle banditary and kidnapping in the area.

Earlier, the Executive Chairman of Toto local government area, Prince Nuhu Adamu Dauda, commended Governor Sule for being up and doing in ensuring the development of the state.
