From Usman MZ/Jigawa

Over 5,400 Jigawa family members have been given a 25 kilogramme of  assorted rice, 2,700 bags of 100 kg of maize by the ‘Baba for All organisation’ as prayer incentive.

The Chairman of the Support Group, Alhaji Ado Sani Kiri said the food items would be shared amongst the extremely poor people within the 27 local governments of the state.

Alhaji Ado Sani Kiri who is also a member in the House of Representatives in Taura/Ringim Federal constituency assured that the ordering of the food items is aimed at putting succour to the lives of the poor who will in return are expected to fervently pray for the continued peace of the state and nation at large.

He said it is pertinent to note that putting food on the table of the vulnerable who later offered their prayers especially during Ramadan will go along way in cushioning the ills of the society.

In a speech, Governor Badaru Abubakar who flagged off the distribution at the Dutse Secretariat said, today’s insecurity has to do with years of aggressions and wrong persecution of certain individuals that later germinated and culminate into the monster we are experiencing in some parts of the country.

The governor commended past adminstrations in the state for creating a fair and equitable platform with which squabbles between groups were amicably resolved without any suspicion.

Our Correspondent reports that Badaru who almost broke down in tears lost control of his emotions during an eight minutes long of prayer he offers with hands raised high for the peace and sustainability to reign in the state and the country at large.
