NDE Trains Youths On Skills Acquisition In Zamfara

National Directorate of Employment, NDE has commenced training of 28 youths in various skills under Advanced National Open Apprenticeship Scheme, A-NOAS.

In a keynote address by the Acting Director General of the NDE, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo said the participants were drawn from the 14 local government areas of the State to be train under Vocational Skills Development Program of the NDE.

The Acting DG who was represented by the State Coordinator, NDE Gusau Office, Abdullahi Yakubu explained that, the trainees would be trained on Computer Appreciation, Tailoring and Barbing having graduated from the NDE’s Basic National Open Apprenticeship Scheme, B-NOAS.

He noted that, NDE would train 1,548 trainees nationwide.

According to him, the training which simultaneously took place in all the 36 States of the federation including FCT, all the master craftsmen will be paid for their services while participants will be paid stipend during the 3 months training starting from 12th April to 12th July, 2021 while urging the trainees to pay attention to the training.

In his remark, the Director, Vocational Skills Development, NDE Headquarters Abuja who was represented by VSD officer Mamman Abubakar said A-NOAS training was designed to advance the skills acquired by the participants during their B-NOAS program, saying they are expected to be more creative and skillful during the training.

One of the trainers who also graduated from the NDE’s training schemes, Anas Mahmud called on the trainees to emulate him to became self reliant.
