From Aliyu Lawal, Minna

Emir of Kagara in Niger state Alh Garba Ahmed Gunna has called for collective efforts in the fight against insecurity in Nigeria.

The first class Emir made the call while speaking to Newsmen at his palace in Rafi Local Government Council of Niger state when he assumed his throne as third and new Emir of Kagara.

Alh Garba Ahmed Gunna maintained that the call became necessary as it is only when Nigerians work in synergy and assist security agencies with useful intelligence gathering that insurgency could be defeated.

Alh Garba Ahmed Gunna also advised those involved in such negative act either directly or indirectly to have a rethink and repent or be made to face full wrath of the law under new security strategy adopted in Niger state.

On the selection process of new Emir of Kagara by king makers he described it as transparent and orderly and commended Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state for endorsing and approving their recommendation that gave him the title and subsequent appointment as new Emir of Kagara.

Alh Garba Ahmed Gunna also thanked those who have contested along with him for their total allegiance to him and promised to operate an open door policy to move Kagara Emirate Council forward.
