Ramadan: Church Distributes Foodstuff To Muslims

A delegation of southern kaduna church has stormed Rigasa community and distributed Bags of millets, rice and maize to hundreds of Muslims and disabled persons with the aim of promoting spirit of togetherness

General overseer of Christ evangelical and life intervention ministry pastor Yohanna Buru said ,the church commenced the distribution of Ramadan Foodstuff to poor Muslims on the streets , to enable them have enough food throughout the holy month.

According to pastor yohanna buru , this is the seventh time , the church is sharing bags of grains and other foodstuff to large numbers of street beggars, internally displaced persons, children at orphanages and some Muslims inmate.

He said security challenges and high cost of living with scarcity of Goods and services had affected many poor Muslims, hence the gesture

The cleric also stated that “we do this in other to strengthen peaceful co-existence and religious tolerance among different faith base organization, to live in peace and harmony according to the teachings of the holy books”

“we want muslims to pray for peace, stability in the country, For Almighty God to bring an end to killing, kidnapping, banditry”

He further called on wealthy Muslims to equally remember the less-privileged, IDPs, and widows to enable them participate in the holy month

Pastor Yohanna congratulated Muslims on the Arrival of the month of Ramadan, and urged imams and ulamas to intensify prayers for peace and unity of the country.

The cleric noted that every year, he leads a team of christian schiolars to His Eminence the Sultan Of Sokoto Alhaji sa’ad Abubakar Palace for interfaith breaking fast with the aim of promoting peace and unity

Responding on behalf of the disabled persons, Mallam muntari saleh,who is the Public relation officer of Northern Blind forum expressed satisfaction over the gesture

He said every year, the church donates food items to many disabled persons, stressing that wealthy Muslims should also reciprocate the gesture
