Agriculture, Crucial Vehicle For Economic Growth- NGF

Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum NGF, Dr Kayode Fayemi has inspected the tallest Nigeria flag errected in Malam ALU integrated agro-allied farm situated in Birnin Kudu local government Jigawa state.

Radio Nigeria reports that the tallest flag with 50.3 length metres was first of its kind in the country.

Speaking shortly after the inspection, Dr Kayode Fayemi described Agriculture as a crucial vehicle for economic growth, and nigeria’s focus on the sector had continued to yield excellent results while commending the chairman of Mallam ALU farm, Alhaji Farouk Adamu Aliyu as patriotic Nigerian who can move the country forward.

He said they were impressed with what they had seen and promised to encourage the people to establish similar farms in their respective states.

Also speaking, the Katsina state governor Aminu Bello Masari commended the founder of the farm and urged local farmers to emulate the gesture, adding that the farm was one of the best in the country.

While making a remark, Chairman of the Integrated  Agro-Allied, Alhaji Faruk Adamu Aliyu said he was encouraged into the farming activities by the clarion call made by President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to him, the farm contained fertilizer plant, modern tomatoes farm that produce 15 tones per week, poultry farm that produces 120 layers with errected tallest national flag in the country.

”I was encouraged to go into the chemical fertilizer production, where it presently produced several tonnes per hour. While the farm can produce 120,000 tonns of eggs per day and several thousands of tonnes of Tomatoes”, Alhaji Faruk Adamu Aliyu explained

Governors that inspected the modern farm are the chairman Nigerian governor’s forum  Kayode Fayemi, Jigawa state governor Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, Katsina state governor Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari and Kwara state governor Alhaji Abdurrahman Abdulrazak. 

The four Governors and those represented, other personalities were taken round the farm by Faruk Adamu Aliyu along with the team of experts in Agriculture.
