Intending Pilgrims To Receive Covid-19 Vaccine In Jigawa

Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has given assurances that COVID-19 vaccine will be administered to every Intending Pilgrim from the State  before embarking on the 2021 Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.

The Director Operations of the Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar labbo disclosed this in an interview with Radio Nigeria shortly after the management of the board were administered the first jab of COVID 19 vaccine held in Dutse.

Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo explained that, the board would do everything humanly possible to  ensure that each of the intending pilgrims is vaccinated.

According to him, intending pilgrims will be vaccinated on Saturday at various hajj seminar centres across the state.

He therefore urged the state zonal officers and intending pilgrims to be good ambassadors for the State and carry out the assignment given them to the best of their ability both in Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Director Operations commended the state government for their unflinching support to the Board.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent reports that the  Executive secretary of the board, Alhaji Sani Alhassan Muhammad and the chairman of the board Alhaji Isa Musa Miga was the first to take the jab.

Others also include board members and head of various units of the state pilgrims welfare board.
