A Non Governmental Organization-Tsintsiya, empowered by Hadis Foundation, has distributed sheeps to women in 9 LGA’s of Kaduna state for self reliant.

The Coordinator, Hajiya Amina Salihu who stated this emphasized the need for women and youths empowerment towards alliviating poverty and reduce their suffering in the society.

Hajiya Amina Salihu said empowering women in different fields would help Carter for themselves and also prevent prevalence of rape cases as well as other social vices in the society.

She therefore, advised men to support and encourage women towards acquiring skills, adding that this would reduce burden bestowed on them.

Also speaking, the Secretary of the association , Hajiya Aisha Bello appreciated effort of the founder and coordinator of the Association Hajiya Amina Salihu for struggle to empower women devoid of religious or tribal inclination.

According to her, women being empowered in different fields by the organisation were doing well in transforming their home status from extreme poverty to a decent level.

She said the foundation had trained over 200 women in farming, sheep rearing, soap making, hand sanitizer sewing and more.

A key stakeholder in the movement, Dr Rahinatu Lawal urged government to improve security in the country especially in rural areas, saying families have been affected by kidnapping, banditry and killing syndrome which rendered most women to become widows and homeless.

Beneficiaries of the empowerment program expressed appreciations while calling on well meaning Nigerians to emulate the gesture.
