NITDA Generates Greater Percentage Of Nigeria’s Revenue Derive- DG

National Information and Technology Development Agency NITDA says the agency is contributing greater percentage of the Nigeria’s revenue generation derive than the oil sector.

The Director General, Alhaji Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse, jigawa state capital.

Alhaji Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi said NITDA as an agency of the federal ministry of communications had increased the nation’s revenue base from 4 to 18% twice of what was being generated from oil.

He also affirmed that the National Information and Technology Development Agency had contributed tremendously to bring Nigeria out of economic recession caused by Covid 19 pandemic.

According to him, the world has been turned into global village by Information technology which is widely accepted as an alternative to oil in economic growth of any nation.

Alhaji Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi said NITDA had opened information and communication technology centres across the country to provide training on wealth creation for self reliance.
