Kaduna Investigates Woman’s Claim Of Vomiting Blood After COVID-19 Vaccine

Kaduna State Government has begun investigation of claims made in a viral video of adverse reaction to covid 19 vaccine.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Baloni stated while reacting to claims by a female on the adverse effect of the Vaccine on her.

Dr. Amina Muhammad Baloni said over 72000 persons had been vaccinated in the state where it was investigating 3 instances of adverse reaction.

Speaking, the Chief Medical Director of the private hospital where the woman who made the claim was said to have been admitted, Dr Patrick Ochogbu described it as hand-work of mischievous makers.

Dr Ochogbu explained that Madam Hannatu Tanko was admitted in the hospital for headache, malaria, typhoid and yellow fever for normal treatment.

 “ASHMED does not know about the interview that was done for the woman. We learnt that it was done by her relative. And we also believes strongly in the Vaccine, because all the staff in hospital took the vaccine on the 23rd of March 2021 and none of the staff showed any adverse reaction”

“The reaction from the woman might be from an underlined health condition” the chief medical director stated.

Dr Patrick Ochogbu said the management of the hospital therefore, joins Nigerians to appreciate effort of the government, especially the Kaduna State governor for special attention put in place to curb the outbreak.
