Kwara State Seeks Private Sector’s Support In Poverty Eradication

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has called on corporate organisations and wealthy individuals to support his administration in it’s effort towards lifting less privileged out of poverty.

AbdulRazaq made the call at the flagg off of the disbursement of N10,000 micro grant each to 16,000 rural women by Aliko Dangote in Bode Saadu, Moro local government area.

He expressed appreciation for having private sector committing funds to lift citizens from extreme poverty.

Represented by his Deputy, Mr Kayode Alabi, said such collaborations would complement government’s multi-sectoral anti-poverty measures put in place.

In a remark, the Group Executive Director, Government and Strategic Relations Aliko Dangote Group, Engineer Mansur Ahmed said the event was part of a N10bn programme designed to fight poverty and hunger in Nigeria.
