Kwara State Police Command says it has successfully rescued the three farm workers abducted by unknown gunmen at Pampo Village in Ilorin.
The state Commisssioner of Police Mohammed Lawal -Bagega stated this in a statement made available to Journalists by the Command spokeman,SP Ajayi Okasanmi in Ilorin.
According to the statement, the command expressed worry over the abduction incident, despite the tight security arrangements put in place across the state.
The statement said the news of the kidnapping prompted the Commissioner of Police to give a matching order to the Command’s anti kidnapping operatives which eventually forced the kidnappers to abandon the victims.
It said effort is still on to arrest the fleeing suspects.
The statement noted that the three kidnapped victims are in stable condition.
