DPR Seals 19 Filling Stations In Niger

Department of Petroleum Resources DPR has sealed nineteen filling stations in Niger state over alleged involvement in various offences.

Operation Controller Field Office Minna, Engineer Abdullahi Isah Jankara stated this after conducting a massive surveillance operation in Kontagora and some parts of zone c.

Engineer Abdullahi Isah Jankara enumerated some of the offences to include selling above the approved pump price of one hundred and sixty five naira per litre in addition to tempering with their meters among others.

Of the number according to him sixteen filling stations were sealed in Kontagora and two in Tegina and Minna and must be made to pay some penalty charges.

He however warned that the Department of Petroleum Resources would not fold it’s arms and watch petrol marketers sell products above government approved pump price.

Alh Abdullahi Isah Jankara also stressed the need for Nigerlites to desist from panic buying as the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPC had assured Nigerians of adequate fuel.
