Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, Hajia Sa’adiyya Faruk, told State House correspondents that the Federal Executive Council, FEC, had given approval to that effect.

She explained that the liquid organic fertiliser, which is about two thousand litres in quantity, was a gesture under the Federal Government’s Emergency Agriculture Intervention for states affected by conflicts, insurgence, and the 2018 flood disaster.

According to her, the contract, worth about one billion Naira, would be delivered in good time to allow farmers yield maximum benefit from the gesture.

Similarly, the Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, said FEC approved the contract for the procurement of four transformers to replace the existing ones supporting the national grid, which have been in use for the past 35 years, to improve the quality of power supply.

He added that the Council also approved contract for the production and delivery of electricity meters to the three meter-test stations in Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Kaduna.
