PDP Expels Chairman, Women Leader In Matazu Katsina State

Stakeholders in the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Matazu Local Government Area of Katsina State have affirmed the expulsion of the immediate past Chairman of the party in the area, Murtala Tukur Karadua and the Women Leader, Hajiya Hadiza Matazu.

Similarly, the party stakeholders have passed a vote of confidence on the newly appointed caretaker chairman and Women Leader of the party in the area, Alhaji Jabiru Adamu Rinjin-Idi and Hajiya Amina Lawal respectively.

Addressing a cross section of party leaders, elders and Executive Committee members at the PDP Secretariat in Matazu, the Karadua ward Chairman of the party, Malam Surajo Yakubu confirmed that the party executives at ward level have found Murtala Tukur Karadua guilty of anti-party activities, betrayal of trust, violation of the party’s constitution, and disregard for the party elders.

He noted that Karadua’s suspension had been ratified by the Local Government party executives and stakeholders in the presence of some elders and a member of the National Board of Trustees of the party, Dr. Garba Shehu Matazu.

While addressing the PDP stakeholders, Dr. Garba Matazu commended the party executives at Local Government and ward levels for taking the right measures to salvage the party.

He said the leaders, elders and other stakeholders must continue to entrench discipline, encourage loyalty and commitment to the party.

Dr. Garba Matazu who was a three-time member of the House of Representatives from Musawa/Matazu federal constituency, commended the state PDP chairman, Alhaji Salisu Yusuf Majigiri and party members in Matazu and Musawa Local Government Areas for their loyalty and steadfastness in supporting the PDP for the last six years since it became an opposition party.
