Late Labour Leader, Wife, Daughter Laid To Rest

The body of Late Dr. Silas Adamu, National Secretary of Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, his wife and daughter have been laid to rest at his residence in Tsaunin Kura, Sabo Government Reservation Area in Kaduna.

In a message to the occasion, Governor Nasiru Elrufai expressed grieve over the demise of Dr. Silas, describing him as a pillar of his community and an examplary leader.

According to the governor, Dr. Silas took a very good step towards restoration of a lasting peace in Atyap land before his sudden death and urged the Atyap community to continue with the peace efforts.

National President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Ayuba Waba called on all labour leaders in the country to live by the principled standard of their position and preserve the legacies of late Dr.Silas Adamu.

He maintained that every individual’s integrity is judged by the impact they made on the lives of others and not on their lifespan.

In his remarks, Chief of Atyap Agwa Tyap One, Dr. Dominic Yahaya said Dr. Silas wealth of experience and direction for peaceful resolution of conflicts in the state were landmark achievements during his lifetime.

According to the Chief, the peace process the deceased undertook when he was sworn in into office as the President of Atyap Development Association will not be abandoned but followed until lasting peace is achieved in his Chiefdom.

Late Comrade Silas Adamu died about two weeks ago with his wife and daughter in a ghastly car accident along Kaduna-Abuja express way.
