New executive members to run the affairs of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN Niger State chapter for three years have been inaugurated.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida IBB Pen House Minna with George Daniya of Newsline Newspaper emerging as Chairman.
Speaking at the occasion, Niger state Commissioner for Sports, Mr Emmanuel Umar who spoke through Director of Sports Comrade Sheshi Katcha called for collective efforts between it and SWAN to forge ahead.
National Treasurer of NUJ, Comrade Mohd She who presided over the inauguration admonished new executive to redouble efforts in bringing back the loss glory of SWAN.
Chairman of NUJ, Comrade Abdul Idris represented by his Secretary, Comrade Abu Nmodu charged the new executive members to make the association a model.
Other members elected include Samson Ojogbane of African Independent Television AIT Vice Chairman, Chinwendu Nnadozie of Daily Independent Newspapers Secretary and Alhassan Kutigi of Niger State Television Financial Secretary.
