Update: Borno State Gov’t Pays Medical Bills Of Victims Of Attack

Borno State Government says it will foot medical bills of all those who sustained injuries as a result of Tuesday’s evening insurgency attack in some parts of Maiduguri.

Governor Babagana Zulum made this known while speaking with newsmen  shortly after visiting the recuperating victims at the state specialists hospital.

The Governor described the mortar attacks that landed on innocent people as one of his most saddest moment in recent times.

He re-confirmed that the attack left ten people dead and many others sustaining various degree of injuries.

Governor Babagana Zulum appealed to people of the state to continue to be resilient while assuring that the incident will not deter the federal and the state government from its determined efforts to restore normalcy to the state.

Similarly, the Governor this morning was among sympathisers that took part in the combined funeral prayer of nine victims of the attack.

The Governor also confirmed the recapture of Marte and it’s neighboring communities from the insurgents by Nigerian Army and expressed optimism that the insurgents will not over run the area again.
