53 Abducted Passengers In Niger State Regain Freedom

Niger state Government has received the fifty three passengers abducted by gunmen.

They were abducted last week on Minna Zungeru Kontagora road.

Addressing the rescued passengers comprising of adult and children at Government House Minna, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello directed the state Commissioner of Health Dr Mohd Maku Sidi and his team to embark on thorough medical therapy and evaluation on the freed passengers to ascertain their health status.

According to him they will be safely handed over to their families and loved ones after the medical checkup is completed.

Alh Abubakar Sani Bello thanked every one including their family members for the support and understanding during the trying moment.

The Niger state Governor also assured Nigerlites that both students teachers and family that were abducted by armed gunmen at Government Science College Kagara would be released soon.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Minna reports that most of the passengers who regained their freedom were looking tired mal nourished and depressed.
